Seasonal Tax Preparer

Location: On site Concord, MA
Duration: Mid-January - April 15th
Client: Established CPA Firm

Pay: Dependent on experience

About the Role:
Our client, a reputable CPA firm in Concord, MA, is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer to join their team for the upcoming tax season. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with individual and fiduciary tax returns.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040) and, as needed, fiduciary returns (Form 1041).
  • Review client-provided documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
  • Communicate with clients to clarify information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience preparing 1040 returns; experience with 1041 returns is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws.
  • Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines during peak season.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Seasonal position from mid-January through April 15th.
  • Flexible hours; some remote work may be considered.
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
